Each fortnight, “Video With…” dives into the best of the video world, from TV commercials to TikToks. There are just two criteria: the video must align with the week’s theme and must have the power to cut through the noise.
Our themes are inspired by conversations happening in the Laundry Lane office, ranging from “Videos with Mascots” to “Videos with Jingles.” The possibilities are endless.
What does “cut through” mean? It’s a video that stops the scroll, even if just for a moment. It might make us laugh, teach us something new, showcase beautiful craftsmanship, or evoke strong emotions (shock, awe, delight, horror, you name it).
“Video With…” is part investigation, part treasure hunt. Our goal is to inspire you to try something new in your marketing and communications journey and to explore the engaging and creative world of video production.
At the first hint of autumnal weather, we’ve got team members turning up in beanies, slow-cooker lunches making an appearance, and lunch hour on the verge of becoming an amateur knitting club.
Naturally, our minds turned to craft in all its glorious, hands-on forms.
This week’s video picks celebrate the beautifully tactile. From stop motion and claymation to paper cut animation and hand-built sets, each one captures the magic of real things being made, moved, folded or stitched. There’s something grounding about seeing the fingerprints of the maker, a reminder that storytelling doesn’t always need polish, sometimes it just needs a glue stick and a bit of heart.
This hit us emotionally, it’s delicate, beautifully crafted, and has a lot of heart. The handmade stop-motion just adds so much intimacy and warmth to the story.
This one’s so clever. The whole story is told through layers of paper and it somehow feels simple and epic at the same time. We loved how tactile and fluid it all felt.

Jasmine Dowling’s video style feels beautifully tactile, blending photography, hand-cut collage, and slow, intentional motion. Her work has this crafted, almost analogue feel that stands out in a sea of slick digital content, giving everyday visuals a warm, elevated energy.
We were really drawn to the charm and detail in the stop-motion animals. Each one feels full of personality and movement, and you can tell a huge amount of craft went into bringing them to life. The whole series has this warm, playful energy that makes the message feel genuine and memorable.
This one’s just clever. Using a real domino run to show how internet flows through the home feels fresh and fun. It’s super tactile, visually satisfying, and makes the tech feel totally human.
We loved seeing the insane level of detail up close. From hand-stitched costumes to textured sets, every frame is built by hand. It’s a love letter to craftsmanship and storytelling.
