Creating a Brand Impact Video

Brief

Cancer Council NSW wanted to create an inspiring flagship video that would showcase both the challenge of cancer and the progress that is possible through collective action. The goal was to position CCNSW as an innovative and credible organisation, highlight the real impact of its work, and encourage philanthropic partnerships. The video needed to connect with major donors, philanthropists, fundraisers, partners and the wider community, with versions for use in donor packages, events and across CCNSW’s channels.

Solution

We developed a cinematic approach that combined impactful visuals with emotive storytelling. By recording audio-only interviews with a cross section of voices (including a researcher, a Community Ambassador, a volunteer and a donor) we built a powerful narrative that showed cancer research and support as a collective effort.

The visual treatment paired these stories with uplifting footage of each contributor, both in their work with CCNSW and in moments of personal joy. We used strong visual motifs to link their experiences back to the overarching message that tackling cancer takes all of us.

Clean graphic moments were added to highlight key statistics and mission statements, reinforcing the impact of CCNSW’s work while keeping the video modern and memorable. The result was a brand-leading video suite: a two-minute hero piece with a 30-second cutdown and the potential for multiple shorter stories and stills, ensuring the message could campaign across formats and channels.
