Home in Place: Coping Mechanisms Training

Brief

Home In Place engaged us to create a training video series to support housing workers in managing the diverse challenges they encounter in their roles. The project required a mix of animated and hybrid videos, with two fully animated and nine combining filmed expert interviews with animated moments, each running around five minutes. The aim was to deliver training that was practical, engaging, and sensitive to the complexities of frontline housing work.

Solution

We designed a series that blends authenticity with creativity. For the hybrid videos, we filmed experts delivering their insights straight to camera, ensuring the content felt conversational and credible. To enhance clarity and engagement, we integrated hand-drawn style graphic text and animations, highlighting key messages and illustrating scenarios in a relatable way. The fully animated videos allowed us to explore more abstract or complex topics with visual storytelling. This approach created a consistent and engaging learning experience that equips housing workers with practical knowledge while acknowledging the human realities of their day-to-day work.
