Improving Consumer Outcomes through Unit Pricing
Brief
The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) needed a series of short, engaging videos to raise awareness of unit pricing, a tool many shoppers don’t realise can help them compare value on groceries. The campaign needed to be clear, accessible and attention-grabbing, with assets running across Meta, BVOD and YouTube.
Solution
We created a vibrant 30-second animation, supported by four 15-second cutdowns optimised for social and mobile-first platforms. Animated cereal boxes with playful expressions turned a simple shelf scene into a colourful, character-driven explainer. Clear price comparisons and a bold visual cue to “Check out the unit price” helped deliver the message quickly and memorably.
A friendly voiceover guided viewers through the main video, while text-driven cutdowns were built to cut through in silent autoplay. Designed to meet accessibility standards and campaign deadlines, the content was concise, eye-catching and platform-ready.
