Pyjama Foundation
Changing Futures Through Connection
Brief
The Pyjama Foundation engaged Laundry Lane to create a video that would showcase their 20-year impact on children in foster care. The aim was to highlight the systemic inequity these children face and the powerful difference made by Pyjama Angels, through a story that would inform, move and inspire action.
Solution
We crafted a three-minute video that brought together the voices of founder Bronwyn Sheehan, a program graduate and a Pyjama Angel. Their stories formed the emotional core of the piece, highlighting the need, the transformation and the long-term impact of the Foundation’s work.
Visually, we brought the narrative to life using two young actors in a series of evocative scenes. These moments followed an emotional arc, moving from isolation and uncertainty to connection and optimism. Close-up shots of hands, eyes, reading and shared moments were used to focus on emotion and experience, without identifying individuals. This made the story feel personal while reflecting the broader experience of children in care.
The video was set to an uplifting score, with on-screen text reinforcing key statistics and moments of impact. A 60-second cutdown was also produced to extend the reach of the story across social channels.
