Laundry Lane Learning

Bespoke learning experiences for frontline workers

Educating with Empathy

AI can deliver information at scale, but in sectors where people are vulnerable, lived experiences are complex, and cultural nuances matter, information alone isn’t enough. A training module on patient care, for instance, must not only outline procedures but also uphold dignity, compassion, and cultural safety.

This is where a human-led approach shines. Video and animation, crafted with care, turn information into shared understanding that speaks to both the head and the heart.

At Laundry Lane Learning, we specialise in creating engaging and inclusive training content that equips frontline workers with the skills and confidence to work effectively with diverse communities. We partner with organisations in health, not-for-profit, and social services to create educational content that is trusted, engaging, and deeply human. With expertise in storytelling and cultural awareness, we craft video and animation that informs, inspires, and empowers, helping people feel seen, understood, and supported.

Our services

We provide end-to-end creative solutions tailored to your learning needs, including:

  • Acted scenarios: realistic, relatable situations that reflect the challenges of frontline work

  • Scripting: clear, purposeful storytelling that resonates with learners

  • Talent casting: diverse and authentic representation of real communities

  • Creative design: visually engaging learning materials

  • Animation & motion graphics: simplified explanations of complex ideas

  • Translation: ensuring content is accessible in multiple languages

  • Accessibility: including Auslan and other inclusive formats

Why it matters

Our content goes beyond compliance. It builds understanding, empathy, and connection. We help frontline workers gain deeper insight into the experiences and needs of vulnerable populations, including:

  • First Nations communities

  • Culturally and linguistically diverse families

  • People living in rural and remote areas

  • LGBTIQ+ people

By reflecting lived experience and real-world challenges, our training supports workers to deliver care, services, and support that is respectful, inclusive, and effective.

Our approach

We combine creativity with authenticity. By partnering with subject matter experts and people with lived experience, we ensure that every piece of content not only informs but also inspires meaningful change.

As one client shared, “Laundry Lane’s ability to bring complex and sensitive subject matter to life in such an engaging and respectful way has been invaluable in supporting frontline workers to provide better care to bereaved families from diverse backgrounds.”

Feedback like this reflects our focus on clarity, empathy, and purpose. In a world of automated messages, we make sure your story is told in a way that builds trust and delivers lasting impact.

Our Clients Say

STARTTS provides culturally relevant psychological treatment and support, and community interventions, to help people and communities heal the scars of torture and refugee trauma and rebuild their lives in Australia. We have been grateful to have worked with and benefitted from Laundry Lane’s services for over 10 years now. More recently they collaborated with us on a video training series for the Mental Health, Community Living Supports Refugee (MH-CLSR) program for frontline workers and our Baby Map Project – an animated educational series aimed at refugee parents and caregivers.
STARTTS has always valued Laundry Lane professionalism, expertise, and commitment to our projects. This is particularly evident when working with people from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds and with lived refugee experience. We would highly recommend Laundry Lane’s services for any video project.

STARTTS (Service for the Treatment and Rehabilitation of Torture and Trauma Survivors)

Working with Laundry Lane on our Healing Through Community Program has been a truly positive experience. We identified a critical gap in supporting frontline health workers to provide bereavement care for families experiencing stillbirth or pregnancy loss, particularly among First Nations communities, CALD families, and people living in rural and remote areas. Laundry Lane partnered with us to create a powerful educational video series across seven key topics, translated into eight languages, to ensure accessibility and impact.
The sensitivity and understanding the Laundry Lane team brought to both the filming and animated storytelling were evident at every stage. The animated storytelling has resonated strongly with clinicians and people with lived experience and the series has received overwhelmingly positive feedback from both clinical and community audiences. We are proud that the videos are now endorsed by RANZCOG and the Australian College of Midwives.

Red Nose Australia

We've had the pleasure of working with Laundry Lane on two mental health training series for frontline staff and their managers. Their team showed an incredible understanding of the subject matter, and their ability to create content that is both culturally sensitive and deeply empathetic has made them a truly valued partner.
The training developed with Laundry Lane gives our members the chance to step back, better understand trauma and its complexities, and gain practical tools and strategies that they can take straight into their work. Their respect and care in creating training that speaks meaningfully to the complex challenges that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities face is deeply valued.
Laundry Lane’s professionalism, creativity, and commitment to producing meaningful, high-quality resources have greatly enhanced our ability to support the community housing sector and we’re grateful for their partnership.
